BIO

Nargis Dhirani, aka Gushy 007, is a Queer Filipino-Tanzanian interdisciplinary artist and facilitator. She choreographs and teaches at Booty Freedom, a heart centred - booty focused dance class she founded in 2016. Nargis is dedicated to inspire social change through creating accessibility to sexy movement and believes all of our bodies should be celebrated. Booty Freedom was created to remind everyone of their hotness by practicing confidence and liberation by shaking ass together.

Outside Booty Freedom, Nargis enjoys choreographing and dancing in live shows and music videos for local artists in Vancouver and performing at Queer centred spaces and events.

VAN VOGUE JAM is a Vancouver based non-profit organization helping to support and build the vogue/ballroom scene within Vancouver, BC, Canada.

By facilitating pay what you can and open-to-all-levels and weekly Vogue jams, VVJ seeks to help contribute towards building a culture of dance and competition with the accessibility and safety of the LGBTQIA2+ BIPIOC community at its core.
